Overview
Nakhodka (meaning "lucky find" or "discovery") is a port city in Primorsky Krai, Russia. Unlike nearby Vladivostok, it was never a closed city, and the government designated it a free economic zone to attract foreign investment.

Taxis charge approximately RUB 200 for 15 minutes. City buses serve major attractions and neighborhoods. The railway station connects to Vladivostok and Trans-Siberian routes.

Nakhodka has a humid continental climate with cold winters and warm summers. Winter temperatures can drop significantly; pack accordingly for the season of travel.
