Overview
Muju is a small mountain town in the Sobaek Mountains of North Jeolla province, offering a peaceful alternative to Korea's crowded cities. While infrequently visited most of the year, the town comes alive during the Firefly Festival in late August, drawing thousands of domestic tourists.
