Overview
Moodbidre (also spelled Moodbidri, Mudbidri, or Bedra) is a historic Jain town in Karnataka, India, known as 'Jain kashi' among the Jain community. During the 14th–16th centuries, this town emerged as a center of Jain religion, culture, art, and architecture, with 18 Jain temples called Basadis constructed during this period.
