Overview
Monclova is a working class industrial city founded in 1577 as the first community in the state of Coahuila. With a population of about 238,000 people (2020), it is not a touristic destination but offers authentic northern Mexican culture, local baseball games, and serves as a practical stop for travelers crossing northern Mexico.
