Caves
Na Turoldu Cave runs guided tours (55 min) April-October with extended hours in summer. Book in peak season.
Money
Czech Koruna (CZK) is the local currency. ATMs are available in town. Major credit cards accepted at hotels and restaurants.
Transport
Mikulov na Moravě station has train connections every 2 hours from Břeclav (40 min). From Brno, change at Šakvice for bus to Mikulov.
Weather
Summer (Jun-Aug) is warmest for hiking but most crowded. Spring and early autumn offer milder temperatures and fewer visitors.
Wine
Mikulov is the centre of the Mikulovská wine sub-region known for reds and crisp whites. Wine tastings available in town cellars; the 65-km Wine Trail is signposted.
