Magdalena de Kino is one of Mexico's designated Pueblos Mágicos, honoring its heritage as the mission town founded by Italian missionary Padre Eusebio Kino in 1690. The town draws pilgrims and history enthusiasts who come to see the crypt of the priest who brought Christianity and livestock agriculture to the Sonoran desert and what is now Arizona.
