Overview
Mafia Island is one of the Indian Ocean's best-hidden gems, offering white sandy beaches and dazzling aquamarine waters with refreshingly few tourists. Often described as Zanzibar 30 years ago, it provides a laid-back eco-alternative with no tarmac roads, few hotels, no shops, and no ATMs.
