Overview
Lundazi is a remote district capital in Eastern Zambia that few tourists deliberately seek out, but it offers one of the country's most unusual accommodations: a Norman-style castle hotel overlooking a lagoon with a resident hippo. The town serves as a practical transit stop between Chipata and Chama, and its proximity to the Malawian border makes it a gateway to Lake Malawi.
