Overview
Linxia is a culturally diverse city in the mountains south of Lanzhou, often called one of the most culturally mixed places in China. The visible evidence of this diversity includes Tibetan stupas on the surrounding hills, numerous Hui Muslim mosques, and Islamic mausoleums (gongbei) dotting the downtown area.
