Money
ATMs at the intercity bus station charge approximately M$17 per withdrawal. Multiple banks including Libertad and Caja Popular Mexicana are available. Prices in local currency (Mexican Peso, MXN) are significantly lower than Mexico City or coastal tourist destinations.
Safety
León is considered one of Mexico's more environmentally friendly cities with good infrastructure. Standard urban precautions apply in crowded markets and bus stations.
Transport
The Bajío International Airport (BJX) is 27.5 km from El Centro. The intercity bus station is the main hub with Primera Plus, ETN, and Estrella Blanca serving regional and long-distance routes.

May is hottest (32°C avg high) and January coolest (24°C). July and August bring heavy rainfall exceeding 150mm per month. March and November host major outdoor festivals.
