Overview
Lahemaa National Park is the largest national park in Estonia and one of Europe's biggest, covering 1,000 km². The name translates as "land of bays" and encompasses four peninsulas (Juminda, Pärispea, Käsmu, and Vergi) and four bays along the Gulf of Finland.

No budget hostels in the park. Free overnight stays possible at three RMK observation towers (first-come basis).
Money
Euro (€) is the currency. Most establishments accept cards, though cash may be needed at smaller cafés.
Safety
Tick risk is high in forests; use repellent and check for ticks daily. Stay on marked trails in bogs.
Transport
Buses run between Lahemaa villages but are infrequent—a car or bicycle is recommended for visiting multiple sites.
Weather
Summer (May-September) is best for full access. Some manor museums close outside this period.
