Overview
La Pesca is a small, rustic fishing town on Mexico's Gulf coast, roughly halfway between Matamoros and Tampico near the mouth of the Rio Bravo. While little known to foreign tourists, it offers excellent sport fishing in both the Gulf and the river, plus a 2-km sandy beach stretching north from the lighthouse on Punta Piedra.
