Overview
Kom Ombo is a dusty agricultural town of about 60,000 people on the east bank of the Nile, 50 km north of Aswan. Its sole reason for appearing on a traveler's map is the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, an unusual double temple dedicated simultaneously to crocodile god Sobek and falcon god Haroeris.
