Overview
Kinkasan (Golden Flower Mountain) is one of the three holiest places in the Tohoku region, alongside Dewa Sanzan and Osorezan. The island's spiritual significance attracts visitors seeking good fortune, centered on the impressive Shinto shrine devoted to Ebisu and Daikoku, gods of wealth.

Accommodation
Limited lodging on Kinkasan itself; Koganeyama Jinja Sanshuden offers ¥10,000 per night with meals. Most visitors stay in nearby Ayukawa.
Connectivity
As a remote island with no motorized transport, expect limited or no mobile coverage and few facilities.
Safety
Leeches and deer are hazards during hikes. Tuck pants into boots and never attempt to remove leeches by force.
Transport
Kinkasan is accessible only by ferry from Ayukawa on the Oshika Peninsula. No other transport options exist on the island.
