Bring all water, fuel, food, first aid supplies. Strong footwear essential for scrambling descents. Sun protection critical year-round.
Safety
No mobile signal outside visitor centre area. No fuel or water inside park. Flash floods kill—evacuate canyons at first sign of rain. Wittenoom is contaminated with asbestos.
Transport
No public transport in the park; self-drive essential. Fill tank at Tom Price or Auski before entering—80-105 km from park.
Weather
Summer temperatures exceed 40°C with flash flood and cyclone risk. Winter days are warm (20-25°C) but nights can frost. Best visit: April-May or September-October.
