Most guesthouses and hotels are in Kadji-Sai 2 village at the highway junction. Yurt camps offer traditional lodging experiences.

Kyrgyz som is the local currency. Carry cash as ATMs are unlikely in this small town. Exchange money in Bishkek or larger lakeside settlements.
Safety
The abandoned uranium mine poses contamination risk when it rains, as radioactive water drains toward the lake. Avoid swimming near the mine area during or after rainfall.
Transport
Marshrutkas between Bishkek and Karakol pass through Kadji Sai along the southern shore highway. Journey from Bishkek takes approximately 4 hours and costs around 350 soms.
