Overview
Jurien Bay is a small coastal town 220 km north of Perth in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region, with a 2021 population of 1985. It was a sheep-farming settlement in the 1850s that grew into a fishing village, now famous for Western Rock Lobster (crayfish) exports.

Coastal trail 32 km to Green Head, skydiving from 14,000 ft, boat trips with sea lions, fishing for dhufish and snapper.

4G from Optus and Telstra; no Vodafone coverage. Patchy on approach roads. No 5G as of 2023.

Australian dollars (AUD). Credit cards accepted at most establishments. IGA supermarket and 24-hour Roadhouse fuel station available.
Transport
Drive 2.5 hours from Perth via Indian Ocean Drive or Brand Highway. Integrity Coaches run 3x weekly from Perth (3 hours). Own vehicle needed for most sightseeing.
Wildlife
Jurien Bay Marine Park has sea lions, dolphins, and migrating whales. Boullanger Island hosts rare dibbler marsupial.
