Safety
The town was heavily damaged by the 2017 earthquake. Some buildings and businesses remain unrebuilt. Use standard urban safety precautions.
Transport
Taxis are recommended for getting around Jojutla as attractions are spread out. Pullman de Morelos buses run from 05:30 to 21:20 at Terminal Pullman de Morelos Galeana.
Water
Lake Tequesquitengo and local waterparks offer swimming, boating, jet skiing, and water skiing. The Amacuzac River provides Class 3 whitewater rafting nearby.
Weather
Expect warm weather typical of southern Morelos. Bring sun protection and hydration for waterpark visits and outdoor activities.
