Overview
Jiri serves as the nearest roadhead for trekkers heading to Everest Base Camp, located in the Central Himalayas region of Nepal. While it has no outstanding attractions, many trekkers pass through because buses from Kathmandu typically arrive in the early evening, requiring an overnight stay before setting out at sunrise.
