Overview
Ischigualasto Provincial Park, also known as Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), is a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared with Talampaya National Park in La Rioja. The park offers otherworldly rock formations sculpted by 250 million years of erosion, revealing one of the most complete Triassic fossil records on Earth.

Connectivity
No mobile coverage or WiFi inside the park. Connectivity available only in Valle Fértil or San Juan.
Money
Park entrance is AR$70 for foreigners (AR$35 for Argentinians). Cash is required at the entrance kiosk. No ATMs exist inside the park.
Safety
No shade exists inside the park. Avoid midday summer visits. The remote location means no emergency services on-site; carry a first aid kit.
Transport
Valle Fértil is the nearest base, 45 minutes from the park. Organize transport through local agencies or with your own vehicle. Hitchhiking is common.
Weather
Summer temperatures reach 60°C; winter nights drop to -15°C. Bring sun protection, layers, and at least 1.5L of water per person.
