Overview
Ilgaz National Park is a mountainous area in Turkey's Western Karadeniz region, famous for its dark spruce forests and alpine scenery. The park sits within the Pontic Mountains and offers Nordic landscapes of deep valleys draped in emerald forests in summer, transforming to black trees against snow-white ground in winter.

4G available from Türk Telekom only on the mountain. Turkcell and Vodafone have no coverage at the resorts.

No public transport reaches the mountain. Drive via D765 highway, with Ilgaz Tunnel bypassing the old mountain road since 2016.
Weather
