Cuba operates primarily with cash (Cuban Pesos and Convertible Pesos). Credit cards from the US remain problematic. Budget travelers should bring sufficient cash.

Aeropuerto Internacional Frank País handles international flights from Europe, Canada, and the US, plus domestic routes. Local transport includes almendrones (shared taxis) and bicycles.
Weather
Best visited November through April for dry weather. Hurricane season runs August-September. Summer brings heat and occasional rain.
