Overview
Güzelyurt is a quiet Cappadocian village that delivers the region's signature landscape of ancient churches carved into soft volcanic tufa, without the crowds of Göreme or Ürgüp. Its deep valleys hold over 50 Byzantine churches, and the village itself preserves Greek heritage from before the 1923 population exchange.
