Overview
Guaratuba is a small coastal town in southern Brazil offering access to several beaches along the Bay of Guaratuba. The town is notable for its proximity to Boguaçu State Park, which protects Atlantic Forest biodiversity and pre-historic shell mounds left by indigenous peoples.

Transport
The ferry to Matinhos is the main boat option. Road access is via PR-412 connecting to BR-376 from Curitiba or BR-101 from Joinville.
Weather
Summer months (Dec-Mar) are hot and busy; winter is milder. The Festa do Divino in July brings cultural events.
