Overview
The Grenadines are a dozen or so small islands (and countless islets) strung between Saint Vincent and Grenada in the southern Caribbean. These islands offer pristine beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, excellent snorkeling and diving, and a laid-back sailing culture.

Connectivity
Mobile coverage is limited on smaller islands. WiFi is available at some accommodations but expect minimal connectivity during island-hopping.
Geography
The southernmost Grenadine islands are part of Grenada and are not covered in this article.
Money
Eastern Caribbean dollar (XCD) is the local currency. Credit cards are rarely accepted on small islands—carry cash.
Transport
Local schooner tours like the Friendship Rose are the traditional way to hop between islands. Ferries and small aircraft connect major islands.
