Overview
Green Island (Lüdao) is one of Taiwan's most remote island destinations, located off the coast of Taitung County. It offers one of only three saltwater hot springs in the world where rocks surround the pools, set alongside pristine coral reefs for diving and snorkeling.

Accommodation
Book ahead especially off-season when many guesthouses may be closed. Hotel doubles range NT$1800-2900 depending on season and day of week.
Connectivity
Widespread cellular coverage. Free iTaiwan WiFi at airport, ferry terminal, post office, and Human Rights Culture Park.
Food
Prices are inflated at the 7-Eleven and Family Mart due to limited supply boat frequency. Venison is a local specialty. Book restaurants ahead in off-season.
Safety
Scooter accidents are the primary safety concern. Single gas station has limited hours. Medical facilities are basic on the island.
Transport
Scooter rental is the main transport option on the island. Gas station near port operates 08:00-17:00 only. Return scooters with fuel.
