Overview
Fuyang is a classical example of a traditional southern Chinese city next to the Fuchun River and surrounded by mountains on three sides. The famous Yuan Dynasty painter Huang Gongwang painted one of the most famous traditional Chinese paintings of Fuyang's landscape.

Fuyang's specialty is MuLian toufu, a jelly-like refreshment made from climbing fig served with honey, and Wo toufu from Dongwu Mountain made with various fillings.
History
Fuyang dates back to the Qin Dynasty and was the hometown of Sun Quan, King of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period, and writer Yu Dafu.
Transport
Buses from Hangzhou to Fuyang run every 5 minutes from near Hangzhou Train Station. Ticket to New Bus Station costs ¥7. Avoid late afternoon departures when queues exceed 30 minutes.
