Overview
Damyang is South Korea's bamboo capital — a quiet county in South Jeolla where dense green groves, centuries-old pavilions, and wide agricultural plains create a contemplative atmosphere. The town is famous for Juknokwon, a cathedral-like bamboo garden, and a constellation of historic pavilions built during the Joseon Dynasty to appreciate natural landscapes.
