Culiacán is the center of sinaloense culture with famous norteño and banda music. Buchona style (narco fashion) is locally prominent. Residents called culichis.
Safety

Transport
Federal de Bachigualato Airport (CUL) has flights from Tijuana (5x daily), Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey via multiple carriers. Highway 15 connects north to Los Mochis and south to Mazatlán.
Weather
Summers extremely hot (up to 45°C) and humid July-September. Winters mild (27°C average high). Best time is October-June.
