Connectivity
SIM cards from local providers (Digicel, bmobile) are available at the airport and in town. WiFi is available at most hotels and some restaurants on Milford Road.
Money
Currency is Trinidad and Tobago dollars (TTD). Food starts from 50 TTD at local eateries. Pigeon Point charges TTD 18 before 5pm. ATMs and card payment are available in town, though smaller vendors may be cash-only.
Safety
Crown Point is generally safe for tourists. Standard precautions apply — secure valuables on the beach and avoid isolated areas after dark. The sea around Buccoo Reef can have strong currents during certain seasons.
Transport
Caribbean Airlines flies Crown Point (TAB airport) to Port of Spain (POS) in 30 minutes. Local buses run every 1.5 hours to Scarborough for TTD $3 but lack posted schedules — check PTSCTT online before departure.
Weather
Tobago's dry season (January-May) is ideal for beach activities. The wet season (June-December) brings sporadic rain but fewer crowds. Hurricane season runs June-November, with most direct impacts on the southern Caribbean.
