Overview
Coatepec wears its identity on its sleeve: the name itself means 'hill of snakes' in Nahuatl, and the town has long called itself the coffee capital of Mexico. Its humid cloud forest climate supports extraordinary orchid biodiversity, and the surrounding fincas (estates) produce some of Mexico's finest coffee beans.
