Overview
Cieszyn is a small Silesian town of 33,500 people straddling the River Olza, with its Czech twin Český Těšín just a short walk away. The border was fixed after World War I, split by war, re-united under Nazis, then restored after 1945—now relaxed under the Schengen Agreement.
