Overview
Chiapa de Corzo is one of Mexico's designated Pueblos Magicos, offering colonial architecture and a rich indigenous heritage dating back to 1400 BC without the crowds of San Cristobal or the chaos of Tuxtla Gutierrez. The town is famous for the Fiesta Grande festival featuring UNESCO-recognized Parachicos dancers, and serves as the jumping-off point for breathtaking speedboat tours through Sumidero Canyon.
