Overview
Changde serves as a peaceful Hunan alternative to busier provincial capitals. The city is anchored by the Changde Poetry Wall (Changde Shige Qiang), a 3-km flood wall along the Yuan River inscribed with poems from ancient China, earning a Guinness World Record as the longest wall with engraved arts.
