Internet is only available at the bug resort in town at 10 pesewas per minute. Mobile data is available but slow.
Food
Local restaurants include African Rainbow (Togolese cuisine) and Busua Inn (French chef). Street food vendors sell potato and bean dishes and rice flour pancakes.
Money
Ghana Cedis (GHC) is the local currency. Budget accommodation starts at GH₵10-20, street food around GH₵3-5, and water sports from GH₵1.5/hour.
Safety
The town is generally safe for travelers. Be cautious on the beach stairs leading to the hilltop house as they are falling apart.
Transport
From Takoradi, shared taxis run to Agona Nkwanta (12 GHC) then to Busua (12 GHC). The journey takes about 30 minutes from Takoradi.
