Overview
Brahmapur (Berhampur), nicknamed "The Silk City", is the third-largest city in Odisha with a population of 355,823 (800,000 with agglomeration). It serves as a business hub on the eastern coastline, offering temples like Tara Tarini Shakti Peetha, nearby Gopalpur-on-Sea beach, and hot springs at Taptapani.

Bars are rare, mostly for men, and considered shady. Hotels and restaurants do not serve alcohol.

Transport

Weather
Best visited October to February. Hot season (March-June) is very uncomfortable. Monsoon (June-October) causes street flooding.
