Overview
Boca del Cielo is one of two remote beach towns on the Laguna de Joya in Chiapas, Mexico, offering a rare glimpse of unspoiled Pacific coast away from tourist crowds. The name 'Bocas del Cielo' means 'mouth of heaven' referring to the opening in San Marcos Island that connects the lagoon to the ocean.
