Before you go
Money
Philippine Peso (PHP) is the local currency. ATMs available in town center. Cash preferred for tricycles and small vendors.
Safety
Landslides occur in rural Morong Peninsula barangays during rainy season. Grassfires happen in dry season. Swimming in Laguna de Bay is dangerous due to pollution and strong waves.
Transport
Jeepneys from Cubao (Quezon City) and EDSA Crossing/Starmall (Mandaluyong) serve Binangonan via Manila East Road. Tricycle fares start at P20 for inter-barangay travel.
Water
Swimming in Laguna de Bay is not recommended—pollution, heavy fishing usage, and volatile conditions. A 2023 ferry sinking killed 27 passengers.
