Hiking Ntringui mountain takes 3 hours; lake visit is accessible for all fitness levels. Camping possible or arrange home stay with local guide Oussein Said in Dindri.

Always ask permission before photographing local women; they notice uninvited photography and appreciate being asked.
Safety
Generally very safe; solo female travelers feel comfortable. Monitor news for political strikes which can disrupt travel.
Transport
Buses run daily until sunset; hitchhiking is common and safe. A bus from Mutsamudu to Dindri costs FC500 and takes 30 minutes.
