Overview
Altos de Lircay National Reserve is a 121-km² protected area in the Andean mountain skirts of San Clemente (Vilches Alto) that offers one of Chile's most affordable options for nature-based activities. Created in 1996, the reserve features Mediterranean climate, rich biodiversity including pumas, condors, and ancient Pehuenche cultural sites, and attracts visitors seeking hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking away from crowded tourist destinations.
