Overview
Al Hoceima is a compact coastal city on the northern Rif Mountains edge, drawing Moroccan and some European visitors to its sandy beaches like Cala Iris, Bades, Torres, Quemado, and Tala Youssef. The city carries a distinctly Berber character, with Spanish colonial echoes from its era as Villa Sanjurjo (1926-1956).
