Albanian is the predominant language. Serbian is spoken by a small minority in surrounding villages like Prilluzhe and Gojbule.

Transport
Taxis within Vushtrri cost €2-3. Local buses connect to Mitrovica (€0.70) and Pristina (€1). The city sits on the main highway between these two cities.
