Before you go
Accommodation
Vuno has limited accommodation—Villa Filip and Shkolla Hostel are the main options. Book ahead in peak summer (July-August).
Food
Two village cafés serve simple local food and drinks. For nightlife, Jal Beach (5 km) has clubs. No restaurants in Vuno itself.
Money
Albania uses Lek (ALL). Small village shops may be cash-only. Use ATMs in Himarë for broader banking services.
Safety
Stray dogs are the main safety concern. Back away slowly if a dog growls—never run.
Transport
Buses from Tirana and Vlorë pass through Vuno on the coastal road; ask the driver to stop. Hitchhiking is common and reliable for getting around.
