Overview
Villeta serves as a practical transit stop between Asunción and southern Paraguay. The city of 37,000 people (2016) is worth a brief visit for its 19th-century Church of the Virgin of Rosary with murals by Adán Kunos, and the municipal beach area on the Paraguay River.
