Hotels quote prices in Turkish Lira (TL). Cash may be needed at some kiosks and restaurants on the mountain. Exchange currency in Bursa before ascending.
Safety
Sudden fog obscures trails; carry a compass. Brown bears are present but rarely aggressive; avoid camping with open food.
Transport
Cable car (Teleferik) from Bursa's Teferrüç district costs 490 TL return (2023), runs 10:00-18:00 daily, 30 min journey. Expect 1.5-hour queues in peak winter season.
Weather
Summers are short and cool with nights near freezing even in July-August. Snow falls from October through April with heavy accumulation by December.
