Overview
Tutrakan is a small Bulgarian town on the Danube that sees few international visitors, making it an authentic off-the-beaten-path experience. Its main draw is the Military Cemetery honoring soldiers from the Battle of Tutrakan in WWI, plus riverside ruins of the Roman fortress Transmarisca integrated into a pleasant park.
