Overview
Tulancingo (officially Tulancingo de Bravo) is the second-largest city in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, located 93 km from Mexico City. The city is the most important wool textile producer in the country and was home to El Santo, Mexico's most famous lucha libre wrestler.

History
The city dates to the early 16th century as a Franciscan settlement. The Huapalcalco site nearby was a forerunner to Teotihuacan.

Tulancingo has two bus stations (first and second class) with connections to Mexico City, Tampico, Tuxpan, and Poza Rica.
