Overview
Tula de Allende is the site of Tollan-Xicocotitlan, the ancient capital of the Toltec civilization that dominated Central Mexico for about 250 years until the rise of the Aztecs. The archaeological site features the iconic Pyramid B topped with massive stone Atlantean warrior statues, and the stark barren ruins offer a different atmosphere than more polished sites like Chichen-Itza or Teotihuacan.
