Overview
Tepatitlán de Morelos (often called simply Tepa) is a colonial city of 150,000 in Jalisco, roughly 90 minutes east of Guadalajara. It stands out for its ensemble of 18th-century Spanish churches—particularly the Baroque Saint Francis of Assisi Church with its twin 63m towers—and its role as a stop on the Los Altos Tequila Trail, a circuit through the highland agave fields that produce premium tequila.
