Overview
Tenom is a small, quiet town in the interior of Sabah, nestled in a valley and home to the Murut indigenous people. While there is limited tourist infrastructure, it serves as a useful stop for travelers catching the train to Beaufort along the Padas River.

Budget accommodation ranges from RM10 for camping to RM150 for chalets. Hostel dorms available at RM25. Book ahead during Malaysian public holidays.
Activities
Tenom Agricultural Park entrance fee is RM25 for adults, RM10 for children, free for under-13s. Bike rental is RM3/hour and boat rental is RM5/hour.
Transport
The Tenom railway station is the terminus of the Western Line. Taxis to the Agricultural Park cost approximately RM30 from town center.
